Ford Explorer (2016) XLT – 4WD
It was the hype everyone has been talking about. Ford has released a newer version of the Ford Explorer in 2016 and I was one to take notice. A very interested buyer type of notice. I wanted this jeep because it had an absolutely amazing redone body, interior well put, and the engine power – well, I actually didn’t know much about the engine power at first and therefore thought it would be a good idea to go to different dealerships and see what they had to offer.

The BMW X7: the Large SUV King Returns
BMW may not have started the SUV segment, but they sure have ruled it for the last decade or so. First, there was the X5, the original BMW SUV. It proved to be a massive success for the company, outselling even most of their sedans. The following X6 with its sleek coupe-like SUV body received high praises from everyone, essentially gaining more popularity even than the X5. Well, BMW isn’t planning on stopping there. The upcoming X7 has its eyes set on the Audi Q9 and the next-gen Mercedes GL, hoping to regain the title as the best SUV on the market.

Like we’ve said countless times, coming up with something unique and fresh in the midsize sedan market as well as the SUV one can be extremely demanding and challenging. The simple fact is that it’s probably been done before, and currently someone is doing. Although Subaru may not be your first pick when it comes to midsize sedans, it is for a lot of people who live in a particularly snowy area, or simply want the added security. Of what you may ask? Well, of the standard all-wheel drive system of course, fitted to all Legacy models.

We really hate having to criticize a vehicle, especially one which isn’t particularly bad, but such is the case with the Altima. On the face of it, it doesn’t look so bad, but dig deeper and you find small nuisances and issues. The Altima hasn’t had a full makeover in four years, an extremely long time in the automotive sector. It almost seems like Nissan isn’t aware of the fact that Mazda, Kia, Honda and the rest of the brands are updating their cars annually or every two years, let alone four. The Altima isn’t as bad as the competition is good. It simply can’t stack up against its rivals, not with the current configuration anyway.

If someone told us 10 years ago that Hyundai would be making some of the best cars in their respective segments, we wouldn’t have believed them.
The company underwent massive changes over the last decade or so, becoming one of the leading car manufacturers. At the forefront of that charge is the Hyundai Sonata, their midsize offering. It’s always been a good proposition, but historically, it was only because of its price. Recent years saw the facelifted Sonata become a top contender in its respective class. The current-generation Sonata remains largely unchanged for 2017 but hey, when it isn’t broken, why fix it?

The midsize sedan market is one of the fiercest markets out there, second to only the SUVs. With such a large market, you have a lot of manufacturers competing, with everyone wishing a bigger slice of the pie. Naturally, when you have names as big as Honda, Toyota, and Ford, all going head to head with their Accord, Camry and Fusion, it’s difficult to stand out and get recognized. Simply being a famous brand no longer works in this cut-throat segment. Luckily, Kia knew this when they first launched the Optima back a few years ago. No one expected it, but the car proved to be a massive success. Fast forward to 2017, and the new 2017 Kia Optima.

The world of small sedans is full of excellent propositions. It almost seems overwhelming having to choose for a single one with so many great choices everywhere. You have the big Japanese brands such as Mazda and Toyota, the European VW, Audi and Mercedes, and then there are the great products from the American companies such as Ford and everything GM. Standing out in such a crowd can be difficult for a Korean brand. Fortunately, Hyundai is not one to fear competition. The old Elantra was a brilliant car which offered a lot for the money.

The current generation Ford Fusion first came out in 2013, and it was an instant hit with consumers. The front end looked like something out of Aston Martin, especially the grille and the headlights. A lot of people thought that this would age relatively fast, but here we are, three years later, and it still looks as cool as the day it came out. In order to keep it that way, Ford decided to facelift it a bit for 2017, so you get a few changes to the front-fascia, the new Sync 3 system gets introduced, as well as the flagship Platinum trim, and we get a beast of an engine with the V6 Sport model.
